Blaze releases visuals for his latest calypso single “Ain’t no saint again”.

The release of brand new calypso, has given many calypso fans in Saint Lucia and the diaspora a taste of what they’ve been missing over the last two years. As with many sectors the Calypso Arena also suffered at the helm of this Covid-19 pandemic.

Saint Lucia “Kaiso” is traditionally seasonal, it is a major staple in the Carnival Calendar and since there have been no parades, the islands Calypsonians had seemingly taken a break. However, as we drew closer to yet another season with no indication of new releases from the various calypsonians it became clear that this lack of calypso music would be and extended hiatus.

Or so we thought … few of the islands calypsonians have come together to battle through this pandemic and adjust to the new normal, a new culture where calypso is no longer seasonal but year round and blaze is among them.
