Ready or Not Here they come – Fugees Announce International Reunion Tour To Celebrate 25th Anniversary of “The Score”

Wyclef Jean, Ms. Lauryn Hill, and Pras Michel “The Fugees” have announced a reunion tour for the 25th anniversary of “The Score”.

The international tour will officially kick off Nov. 2 in Chicago and includes stops in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami, Paris, and London before heading to Africa, with the final shows in Nigeria and Ghana in December.

Members Ms. Lauren Hill and Wyclef Jean both issued statements:

Hill’s comments read  “I decided to honor this significant project, its anniversary, and the fans who appreciated the music by creating a peaceful platform where we could unite, perform the music we loved, and set an example of reconciliation for the world.”

“As I celebrate 25 years with the Fugees, my first memory was that we vowed, from the gate, we would not just do music we would be a movement. We would be a voice for the un-heard, and in these challenging times, I am grateful once again, that God has brought us together.” Jean added.

Upon its release in February 1996, The Score peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and earned two Grammy Awards, with singles including “Killing Me Softly,” “Ready or Not,” and “Fu-Gee-La.” The seven-time platinum album has sold over 22 million copies worldwide and remains the best-selling album ever by a hip-hop group.

The three have reunited for their first world tour in 25 years and first shows in 15 years to celebrate the anniversary of their classic 1996 album The Score.
