It was a sad day for Keyshia Cole fans when the R&B singer announnced her retirement on
The songstress made the announcement via twitter in response to one fan stating that her latest release was “buzzing up the charts”.

Through a series of tweets and responses to fans Keyshia did reveal her reason for retiring. The mother of two let fans know that they will be receiving the long awaited 8th album because she was contracted to do so and would not want to disappoint her fans.

Last month, Keyshia debuted her new single “I Don’t Wanna Be in Love” following her long-awaited Verzuz with Ashanti. The song is her first official release on her label, Hearts & Stars, in partnership with BMG. She had been in the studio working on her eighth studio album, the follow-up to 2017’s 11:11 Reset.
