Her name has been referenced by main stream musicians and some might say a full TV series was inspired by her. A scandal, of Presidential magnitude shook her life and her reputation forever and cementing her as one the more controversial women in American pop culture. Monica Lewinsky.
Monica Lewinsky’s version of what really went down is set to take center stage yet again with the Tuesday night premiere of “American Crime Story: Impeachment.” In a interview with “Today” host Savannah Guthrie Lewinsky says it’s taken her a long time to get past her scandal with Bill Clinton.
The mini series will air on FX Tuesday evening and will focus on telling Monica’s side of the notorious American tale. Lewinsky says to the host that she was nervous but also proud of the project because she worked as a producer as well. When host Savannah asked if she had a message for the former president she said that she no longer harbors ill feelings towards the former president but believes he still owes her an apology. She also made it clear that he has never offered an apology. Lewinsky’s main point is she’s thankful she made it through the traumatic public shaming, and now she wants to give hope to anyone else in her shoes.
